That is one of the best benefits to buying those types of auto parts, but another is that they are significantly less expensive than OEM vehicle parts. This was touched on in the last paragraph about OEM parts, but after-market vehicle parts are usually 50% or more less than the original manufacturer's automobile parts.
With that said, it is really up to the person and the situation when the car is being serviced. Many people choose OEM auto parts just because they are the safest type of parts to go with, but arguments for third-party automobile parts are because they're much cheaper will be more accessible.
